For Fall Winter 2016, we romance with history and pay homage to ancient empires that spanned Central Asia to Europe, and which left behind an eclectic plethora of artistic vestiges.
References to floral carpet prints from the Ottoman empire, tile patterns from the Byzantine empire, and paisleys from the Persian empire are all updated into contemporary playful prints. Fabrics are thoroughly luxurious with reversible gold metallic brocade, waxed jacquard and gold lurex infused tweeds and knits making an appearance. Dresses in floral prints project romantically feminine looks. Contrasting influences are fused together to bridge daywear with evening, and combine plush and smooth textures: soft touch velvets combine with smooth silk and are layered with fluffy furs.
